UPDATE: The man was talked down around 4 p.m. He was arrested for trespassing and willful destruction of property. Residents have been allowed back into their homes.
ORIGINAL STORY:
Las Vegas police say that a man is on the roof of a house in the 4500 block of Little Finch Lane near Lamb Boulevard and Owens Avenue.
Police say they received a call around 11:36 a.m. Thursday, reporting that a man could be heard yelling for help, but could not be seen.
Several more calls followed saying that the man was on the roof of a house and was yelling for help.
The homeowner, who eventually arrived on scene, told police he does not know who the man is.
The man then began tearing tiles off of the roof.
Nearby residences are currently being evacuated and the police are attempting to talk the man off of the roof.
