An American Airlines flight heading to Las Vegas from Dallas was forced to make an emergency landing in Albuquerque, New Mexico, after one of its engines failed in midair.

No one was injured during the incident on Flight 1693 and the passengers eventually made it to McCarran International Airport.

"The worst part actually was just waiting," said one passenger on the flight.

The plane was originally scheduled to land around 8 p.m. Sunday. Passengers finally arrived around 4 a.m. Monday.
