Pahrump homecoming receives clown threat

The Nye County Sheriff’s Office has been made aware of someone on Facebook who has made threats to Pahrump Valley High School's homecoming event. The person's identity is unknown.
 
According toPahrump Valley Times, the homecoming football game takes place Friday night, and the dance occurs Saturday night.
 
The threat referenced “clown activity,” which hasbeen a hoax in other cities nationally, does have a credible following internationally.
 
The Nye County Sheriff’s Office does not believe the threat is credible. However, they will have multiple resources at the event to ensure safety. They are working with the School District to ensure safety.
 
The Nye County Sheriff’s Office has also contacted the FBI.
