The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating an officer-involved shooting near Las Vegas Boulevard and St. Rose Parkway.
A suspect was shot by a police officer on the 100 block of La Padania Avenue and then was transported to University Medical Center.

Officers say the suspect is expected to survive.
Police say it started when a neighbor reported there was a man pointing at cars with a gun, which was later determined to be a replica. Calls started around 8 p.m.
Witnesses say officers spent about 15 minutes asking the man to drop his gun, before a single shot was fired. He was hit in the shoulder.
