If you've ever thought about a job in law enforcement, now might be your time to give it a go. Nevada Highway Patrol is trying to hire 82 troopers in the very near future.

They held a job fair Tuesday where interested applicants put their physical ability to the test.

"We are very motivated to see this many people turn out and are looking forward to serving their community," said Trooper Travis Smaka with Nevada Highway Patrol. "It's very exciting."

If you missed Tuesday's job fair, NHP is offering two more sessions this month.

You can go to CSN at the Cheyenne Campus Saturday morning at 7 a.m. to take the physical fitness test. Just make sure you sign up online first.

If you can't make Saturday's session, there will be another June 30 at 7 a.m. at NHP Southern Command Headquarters.

"You have to have your mind set that this is what you want to do," said Trooper Smaka. "I feel this is one of those professions where you don't really make up your mind one day and go hey I might go try that. It's more of a calling."
