Nevada Highway Patrol Southern Command has released their lip sync challenge video in response to the challenge by the North Las Vegas Police Department.

Troopers lip synced to the song "Highway Patrol" by Junior Brown.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department was the first local police department to participate in the challenge that has been sweeping the nation. Their video was set to the song "Viva Las Vegas" by Elvis.

North Las Vegas Police Department followed with their video. The video stars Officer Phillip Karas, who is apparently obsessed with doughnuts.

It's not known exactly where the challenge began. Some people say that it was started by Deputy Alexander Mena with the Bexars County Sheriff's Department. The City of Monroe Police Department in Georgia was the first department to film a full-fledge ensemble lip sync of Bruno Mars' song "Uptown Funk."

NHP's Southern Command is now challenging their northern counterparts to produce a video.
