The Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles is pleased to announce the addition of public Wi-Fi internet service at its offices in the Las Vegas area.

“Your wait time at the DMV doesn’t have to be down time,” said DMV Director Terri L. Albertson. “You can now keep up to date with your work, emails, social media and more while you’re at the DMV.”

The Wi-Fi service is offered at no cost to the DMV or the public by the Motor Vehicle Network, the same company that operates the informational television screens that have been in DMV offices since 2012.

No password or user account is required to use the service, which is similar to the public Wi-Fi offered in many restaurants and other public spaces.

The Motor Vehicle Network will recoup its costs through advertisements placed on the initial landing pages for the service.

Wi-Fi is available at the four DMV full-service offices in Las Vegas and Henderson as well as the commercial licensing office in North Las Vegas.
