NATIONAL (KTNV) — Plastic surgeons are seeing an increase in people getting cosmetic surgery on their faces.
One doctor is calling it a "Zoom boom."
Patients are saying they choose to seek out a facial procedure after spending the last year working remotely and staring at themselves for hours a day on Zoom.
"The lights hitting you differently, you see shadows and lines that you don't normally want to see. And they say this is something they have been wanting to change," said Dr. Jason Stubbs, a plastic surgeon in Michigan.
Stubbs says more people also have the time available to recover from a procedure at home.
