CALIFORNIA (KTNV) — Thousands of people in Santa Cruz, California, are being told to evacuate.

However, county officials are concerned that most of the people won't listen.

The state has been hoping for rain, but it's really a double-edged sword because with up to 10 inches of rain expected that could trigger potentially dangerous mudslides.

There's also a possibility of an avalanche in the mountains and power outages.
