Researchers at West Virginia University studied 165 married couples and asked them how lockdowns effected their daily routines.

The study found feelings of having a spouse "stepping on their toes" caused resentment and gave the appearance the relationship was in trouble.

Researchers say the negative feelings toward a spouse quickly went away when they started planning their daily routines together.
