COVID-19 precautions likely helping keep flu numbers down

Around this time of year, flu cases really start to pick up, but that's not happening this year.

The CDC is reporting very little flu activity across the entire country!

This same week in February last year, we saw widespread flu cases in nearly every state.

Health experts say it's likely because of COVID precautions like social distancing, mask wearing, and more hand washing.

However, doctors say they're still hesitant to claim victory over flu season.

They say it'll be a bit longer before we're totally out of the woods.
