Three stray cats have been found dead in North Las Vegas.
The mysterious man who cares for them says it was murder.
He calls himself the "North Las Vegas Cat Daddy," and he spends much of his free time seeing to the needs of as many stray and feral cats as he can.
The Cat Daddy says he takes care of between 150 and 200 cats, feeding them in shelters across 12 colonies in North Las Vegas.
For such an animal-lover, discovering three of them murdered was absolutely devastating.
"Someone that is able to do what they do to these animals, they're just not human in my mind," the Cat Daddy said. "They're just vile, sick human beings."
The three cats found dead were Darla and two of her kittens. One of the kittens had a foster home lined up to be rescued.
The Cat Daddy chooses to remain anonymous because he wants the focus to only be on the animals.
His Facebook page has more than 13,000 fans.
"I feel as much a connection [to every stray cat] as I do my own cats," he said.
The Cat Daddy pays for the food through the help of donations.
He says people from all over the world have sent him food or money.
Since Darla and her kittens died, his donors have also helped him buy cameras to set up at the shelters in hopes of catching any future abuse.
