The popularity of ramen has exploded in recent years and the team at Reviews.org has put together a list of favorite ramen restaurants for each state.

A data analyst used Yelp's API to find each state's favorite ramen restaurant.

Monta Japanese Noodle House on Spring Mountain Road received the highest score based on 2,726 reviews.

The runner-ups for Neavda are Uchi Ramen in Reno and and Uma Ramen in Henderson.

Ramen is widely considered a Japanese invention but many people say that the noodles were actually first made in China.

Ramen noodle shops became popular in both countries in the early 1900s but its popularity skyrocketed after the Second Sino-Japanese war.

Ramen noodles are made of wheat flour, kansui (alkaline water) and salt. Their springy texture makes ramen noodles different from other noodles.

Instant ramen began showing up overseas in the early 1970s and for many years, people were only familiar with the instant variety.

New York's Momofuku Noodle Bar is credit with making authentic, handmade ramen a hit in the states. The restaurant opened in 2004.

Monta Japanese Noodle House is a probably the best-known ramen restaurant in Las Vegas. You can choose from tonkotsu, shoyu, tonkotsu-shoyu and miso ramen. Cold noodle ramen is also an option.

Unfortunately, the restaurant is rather small and it can be tough to score a seat.
