It's been more than a week and little progress has been made in Nevada's special session.

Last night a proposal to cap tax deductions for mining businesses stalled hours after it was introduced.

The bill was the first substantial revenue proposal but fourth during the nine-day session and was one vote short of passing through the state senate.

Right now, lawmakers continue to look for ways to cover the more than one billion dollar budget shortfall stemming from the pandemic.
