UPDATE FEB. 21: Las Vegas police released a sketch of a man suspected of attempting to lure a child near a middle school.
The initial incident happened around 8:48 a.m. Feb. 12.
Police indicated the child was riding a bike in the area of Mustang Street and Horse Drive in the northwest part of the Las Vegas valley when the man pulled up next to the child and attempted to get the child to get into his vehicle. The child was able to get to school and report the attempt, and the man drove away in an unknown direction.
The man was described as a white man who appeared to be about 60 years old with a thin build and gray hair. The vehicle was described as a newer model red or burgundy four-door sedan.

The incident happened at Anthony Saville Middle School, near Torrey Pines and Grand Teton drives. The principal released a letter regarding the incident.
