A neighborhood nuisance getting out of hand led 13 Action News to step in.

People living in a subdivision near Las Vegas Boulevard and St. Rose Parkway say a massive amount of garbage has sat in front of their neighbor's house for more than two weeks.

The trash bags and overflowing boxes cover the driveway and sidewalk.

"I think someone may have gotten evicted," Phil Wakefield said, who lives across the street. "Hopefully nothing bad has happened, but it's definitely not just a party."

Wakefield and Danni Valerio, who's next door to the garbage, say they haven't seen the man who lived there for weeks.

"It's a big bother," Valerio said. "This is our home. This is where we're supposed to feel comfortable and just having a whole bunch of trash ruins the image of a homey environment."

Neighbors say the weekly garbage truck has been ignoring the pile.

We left a message with the HOA, and as luck would have it, a landscaping crew showed up shortly after that call was made.

The workers said their company does work with the HOA, and they were sent to clear the trash as an assignment.
