A new bill was introduced in the Nevada state Senate that could allow people to smoke recreational marijuana in public places.

The bill would allow local governments to issue licenses for the public use. There would be no restrictions on what types of businesses or events could get the permit.

The only rule is that it has to be a 1,000 feet away from schools or community facilities.

Currently, marijuana has to be smoked on private property.
