At 11:22 p.m. on Nov. 22, the driver of a silver Chevy Trailblazer lost control for unknown reasons and went into the left dirt shoulder, up the embankment, rolled over the guardrail and came to rest on its roof in the right travel lane of the I-15.
During the crash, the driver was ejected from the truck and he was pronounced dead on scene. It was determined that the driver was not wearing a seatbelt.
It is unknown if the driver of the truck was impaired during the crash but investigators believe speed was a factor.
A local family’s Thanksgiving will never be the same again because there will be an empty seat at the table. Drive safe and buckle up.
