LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — There's been a flood of calls, emails, and social media posts after a man was found dead behind a local Walmart.
He was black, he was hanging, and in the midst of two possible lynching investigations in California, word spread quickly that this could be the same.
We've confirmed tonight from the coroner and the man's family it was not. The man took his own life.
We typically do not report suicides because we don't want to publicize them.
In this case, the death generated so much attention, we wanted to set the record straight.
