A man convicted for murder in Clark County died at High Desert State Prison on Nov. 10.

Around 8:35 a.m., 63-year-old Tam C. Nguyen died in the infirmary at the prison located approximately 30 miles north of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Nguyen had been in prison since February 1999 and was serving a sentence of 40 years to life with the possibility of parole for first-degree murder with a deadly weapon enhancement.

Nguyen was found guilty by a jury in 1998 in the murder of Dennis Vanduser.

Authorities say Nguyen hid in the trunk of his wife's car while she was at work.

When his wife gave Vanduser a ride home after work, Nguyen emerged and fatally shot Vanduser several times. Police said Nyugen suspected his wife was having an affair with Vanduser.
