Police are seeking a man they said stolen a vehicle overnight Wednesday.
Officials were attempting to take the suspect into custody at a nearby 7-Eleven when he purposely rammed an empty police vehicle. The suspect fled into a residential neighborhood near Jones Boulevard and Smoke Ranch Road and abandoned the stolen car, which had damage from hitting the police car.
Inside the car, police found a few backpacks and a guitar.
That is what one woman woke up to in her driveway.
"It's pretty scary knowing that there's crime right outside our door especially unbeknownst to any of us," Ashley Slocum said.
No one was hurt in the incident. The police car the suspect rammed was empty.
