A man was arrested last week for a shooting that occurred three years ago in North Las Vegas.
Officers were dispatched to the area of Lance Avenue and Joust Street, near Jo Mackey Magnet School, on November 29, 2013, to investigate a shooting. The shooter, who was identified as 22-year-old Ashley Christmas, had fled the scene before police arrived. He had fired multiple shots at a group of people. No one was injured in the shooting.
On Thursday, October 6, 2016, officers located Ashley Christmas in the 3300 block of North Decatur Boulevard where he was taken into custody.
Ashley was arrested on multiple counts of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and discharging a gun into an occupied structure.
