Friends and family are remembering a man fatally shot during a robbery at Lee's Liquor nearly a year ago.
A memorial was held Saturday for Matthew Christensen, who was shot during the robbery April 18, 2016 at the location near Warm Springs Road and Durango Drive.
Police said Ray Charles Brown shot and killed Christensen when he couldn't open a safe in the back of the store.
13 Action News spoke with the Lee's Liquor owner who says Christensen was a kind and hard-working man.
Lee Dominic Sykes and Lee Murray Sykes were also arrested.
The district attorney is pursuing the death penalty for Lee Dominic Sykes and Brown.
All three suspects are scheduled to be in court in June.
