Locals are speaking out about the U.S. Soccer's new rule to the game of soccer.

Action News spoke to soccer coach Meir Cohen and soccer dad Ross Portale about what they think about the new rules.

Kids under the age of 10 are not allowed to head the ball anymore.

The decision comes after a class-action lawsuit regarding a large number of concussions in soccer.

There's a catch to the new rule too. Kids under 10 can't head the ball at all. Kids ages 11-13 can only head it during games not practice.

The changes are set to take effect within the next 60 days.
