The mass shooting in San Bernardino is now being investigated as "an act of terrorism" by the FBI.
The female shooter, Tashfeen Malik, pledged her allegiance to ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi on Facebook.
Now, local mosque leaders are condemning the shooter's actions, even though the suspect's were of their faith.
Action News spoke with members of the Islamic Society of Las Vegas. They say they are mourning the deaths of those victims, and add it is not part of the religion of Islam to take an innocent life.
"We are very much hateful to those people because, besides the barbaric practices they have, they are defaming our very peaceful religion of Islam," says Khalid Khan, the president of the society.
Mosque members say they are on high alert after the shooting, and have concerns over backlash.
They have met with law enforcement about increasing patrols around their mosque.
