Dozens of local heroes were honored during a Las Vegas Fire & Rescue Award Ceremony on Wednesday night.
Firefighters, police officers and others who risked their lives to help others were recognized.
More than 100 awards were given, including Medals of Honor.
A retired New York City firefighter who survived the collapse of the World Trade Center performed th national anthem.
