LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A local family who lost everything in a catastrophic and deadly apartment fire over the weekend was surprised with Christmas gifts.
Tuesday, Clark County firefighters loaded gifts onto their fire engine and took them to the family's temporary home.

The presents were delivered by county firefighters and Operation Fire H.E.A.T. or the Holiday Emergency Assistance Team.
The group's annual mission is to help families who lost their Christmas due to a catastrophic fire during the holiday season.
This year marks the 11th season fire dispatchers team up with firefighters for the assistance. The group will continue their help through Jan. 15.
