A Las Vegas church dedicated their Sunday service to the victims of the volcanic eruption in Hawaii.

Inside New Hope Las Vegas, it was all about keeping spirits high through tragedy.

The church's congregation is made up of mostly people from the Islands of Hawaii, many who have family or friends directly impacted by the recent eruption and earthquakes.

The church's pastor, Kent Miyoshi, asking members to join hands during service to pray for peace on the islands.

“We’re praying for them, we’re letting them up in prayer and praying that this will soon come to a peaceful resolution,” says Kent Miyoshi, Pastor. "It brings our hearts closer to the big island and the people of Hawaii.”

The church is organizing their own fundraiser to help those impacted. New Life has a sister church in Hilo, Hawaii where supplies will be hopefully sent to.
