A leprechaun will bring awareness to pedestrians crossing Boulder Highway on Thursday.

Clark County School District and Henderson police, along with Nevada Highway Patrol, are dressing one of their own as the leprechaun and having the officer cross Boulder Highway at Corn Avenue, starting at 8 a.m. Corn Avenue was the site of one of 12 pedestrian fatalities on Boulder Highway in 2015.

Law enforcement will be watching out for pedestrians who cross the road not in a crosswalk or intersection.

Around 1 p.m., officers will then move to Tropicana Avenue and Morris Street, where a school crossing zone is located.
