News outlets file lawsuits to obtain mass shooting records

Several major news outlets have filed lawsuits requesting law enforcement to turn over police records related to the 1 October shooting, according to the Los Angeles Times.

One of the lawsuits filed in Clark County District Court asks a judge to unseal court records related to the shooter, Stephen Paddock.

Another lawsuit is asking the Las Vegas police department to release body camera footage, 911 calls, dispatch calls, evidence logs, and Mandalay Bay surveillance video.

The police department has not commented on the lawsuits.
