Las Vegas natives and baseball stars Kris Bryant and Bryce Harper released a video to help the victims of Sunday's shooting.
Chicago Cubs' Bryant and Washington Nationals' Harper are competing against each other in the first game of the National League Division Series that began Friday night. The PSA is airing during the game.
It was Bryant's idea to reach out to the nation as a duo, ESPN reported.
"The biggest thing is, Vegas is very small," Harper told ESPN after filming the PSA. "If you were born and raised there you know everybody."
According to ESPN, both Harper and Bryant knew people that attended the Route 91 Harvest Festival but escaped with non-life threatening injuries.
"You don't want to see it happen to your hometown, but it's been amazing to see the people in the community come out and help," Bryant told ESPN. "I don't know if I've ever seen a response like that.
