A Las Vegas police officer was involved in a crash overnight near Smoke Ranch Road and Buffalo Drive.
Police say that a woman in a SUV made a left-hand turn in front of the officer's patrol car.
It happened around 1 a.m.
The crash resulted in the SUV flipping over.
Both the officer and the woman were transported to a local hospital. The officer has been released and the woman is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
It is not believed that alcohol had a role in the crash, which is still under investigation.
