Las Vegas has been named the top U.S. destination for 2016 by Hotels.com.
According to the Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority, nearly 43 million people visited Las Vegas last year. The ranking is based on hotel prices.

Las Vegas was also ranked the number two destination for international travelers. The number one spot for international travelers was New York City.
