UPDATE: 13 Action News attended the school board meeting on Thursday, but the student's family said they would not be talking and asked our crew to leave. It is unknown what happened at the meeting.
A group of local middle school students are fighting to keep their colorful hair.
The Clark County School District has ordered the students to return their hair to a less distracting color.
Multiple students at Ralph Cadwallder Middle School in the northwest area of the valley have signed a petition to protest the students' inability to practice freedom of expression.
The school recently sent a notice home to parents saying that any students with colorful hair have until April 18 to dye their hair back to its natural color.
The petition has gained approximately 1,000 signatures.
CCSD told 13 Action News that the school board will be addressing the issue on Thursday.
