City of Las Vegas Animal Control rescued a kitten from a storm drain Thursday morning.
Around 8 a.m., streets and sanitation crew discovered the feral cat at the 500 block of Portsmouth Way, near Decatur Boulevard and Alta Drive.
When animal control arrived, workers noticed the drain was 12 feet deep. They lowered a cage with food in it down the drain and the kitten went into the cage.
#lvanimalcontrol Officers Josh Kuykendall and Phillip Hawk went above and beyond to rescue a kitten from a storm drain ❤ When they couldn't reach him because he was trapped 12 feet down, they put some food in a cat trap and lowered it down.
