Lake Mead is encouraging fathers to wear their life jackets at the lake this weekend.
Park officials say that 5 men have died at Lake Mead or Lake Mohave in the past 5 years and in every case, the men were not wearing a life jacket.
Officials say that even the best swimmers can find themselves in danger. Lake Mead will loan life jackets to anyone who needs them for free.
