LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A Las Vegas woman says all of her keys were stolen from her store after she let a man inside to use the bathroom.

Atomic Trading is a business tucked away near Grand Teton and Durango Drives. Owner Amber Richie calls it a one-of-a-kind trading card store.

“There’s not a lot of stores like this where you can incorporate the Anime with the Pokemon and the trading card games,” Richie said.

She opened just about a year ago and wanted to create a safe space where people can be themselves. However, that all changed Saturday afternoon when a man walked in that Amber thought was a potential customer.

“He asked if we buy Pokemon cards and I said yes we take them in," Richie said.

But after that question surveillance video showed a different tale with the man stealing keys after using the restroom with the business owner carrying a table out to her car.

Richie said the video also shows the man looking around while stuffing a lanyard into his pocket as he walked out.

“It's brazen to walk in and take things with no problem. Who knows what this person can do,” Richie said.

The man got away with all of the owner's keys that included her car, store and home keys.

Richie said her dad spotted the man later in the evening, after seeing the surveillance video, but the accused man took off running.

The whole ordeal was not only scary for Richie, who is eight months pregnant, but also costly.

“I had to change the locks on the business which is a $100. I’ve had to change the car key which was another $350 and have all the keys deactivated to the vehicle that costs $200,” Richie said.

The store owner hopes someone recognizes the man before he strikes again as police are investigating the incident.
