CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Jewelry thieves in Henderson

Jewel thieves are caught on camera and now the burglary victim is hoping the pictures will lead her to her missing family heirlooms.

"It's more than just jewelry," said Connie Tarnopol. "It's part of your history."

$20,000 worth of rings, earrings and necklaces were taken from Tarnopol's Henderson home.

The screen door leading into her bedroom was kicked in and the thieves walked out with the jewelry as well as the armoire it was stored in.

If there's a silver lining, it's that this has shown Tarnopol the love that exists in her family.

Without being asked, a cousin mailed her a box of all brand-new jewelry.

"It just moved me that she would think of me and want to replace some of these silly things just because she knows how much they mean," Tarnopol said.

She went into great detail about several of the individual pieces that were taken: their stories, where they came from, who a previous owner might have been.

Because of this significance to her, she urges anyone who recognizes the suspects to call Henderson police.
