A man is dead after hitting a wall near Russell Road and Hollywood Boulevard Saturday afternoon.

Police say the crash happened around 3:51 p.m. A 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee was exiting the driveway from New Silver Bowl Park onto Russell Road. The Jeep traveled north across all east and west lanes of Russell Road, drove over a curb, and slammed into the wall.

The 64-year-old driver was taken to Henderson Hospital where he later died from his injuries.

A preliminary investigation indicates the man suffered from a medical episode.

The Clark County Coroner identified the man as Richard Jacklin from Lake Havasu City, Arizona. It is unknown if he died from the collision or the medical episode.
