Holiday shopping season rolled on with "Cyber Monday."

The deals are out there, but are you doing everything to keep you and your packages safe?

"Those orders are coming in, which unfortunately means packages are being swiped off of doorsteps," said Jen Burke, a senior communications manager with Nextdoor.

Nextdoor is a community app for neighbors to post videos of package thefts, in hopes of catching the bad guys.

Popular retailer Amazon has implemented a locker system to offer a secure place to deliver packages.

There are more than a dozen locations in the Las Vegas valley.

Still, a nationwide survey conducted by Nextdoor found that 43 percent of people have had a package stolen.

Nearly the same amount have had multiple packages taken.

That risk has led 3 in 5 people to simply not order anything at all.

Burke says neighbors, especially the ones you know, can be a great resource this time of year to pick up packages for you or help you locate a missing delivery.

Video security at home can help, but even that's not foolproof.

The security company Ring told us stolen cameras is an issue they're addressing.
