LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — For residents of an East Las Vegas neighborhood, the weekend began with screeching tires and a bang.
Around 7:30 p.m. Friday night, a suspected hit-and-run driver plowing through a row of cars at Stonegate Apartments near Sahara Avenue and Nellis Boulevard, leaving them smashed and mangled, the owners distraught.
Leaving seven cars with serious damage and the owners with yet another challenge in this already difficult time.
Las Vegas police took a collision report but residents say they're now in a stressful holding pattern as they say management has asked them to wait to move their cars.
Several residents say the past couple months have been difficult enough. This was the last thing they needed, financially and emotionally.
Now, they just want the person responsible to come forward.
