UPDATE: Bill Clinton campaigned in place of Hillary for her Nevada rally on Wednesday.

The event was held at the College of Southern Nevada's Cheyenne Campus in June Whitley Student Lounge.

Bill Clinton said he was glad he had the chance to stand in for his wife Wednesday. She will be returning to the campaign trail Thursday.

"She did it for me for me for along time," Bill Clinton said. "It's about time i do it for her."

Throughout his speech, Bill Clinton focuses primarily on Hillary Clinton's economic plan, equality and her goal to keep jobs in the U.S.

He said instead of making America great again -- taking Trump's well known campaign slogan -- the country's current foundation should be used a springboard toward economic growth.

"We need to slow the car down and think about our common future," Bill Clinton said.

Demonstrators gathered outside CSN to protest against the Democratic presidential candidate. Many were shouting "lock her up" in reference to her ongoing email scandal.

Hillary Clinton fainted outside of a 9/11 event in New York City on Sunday. Her doctors say that she was diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday.
