A Henderson woman says she's been living among dozens of rats for five months now.

Tamara Sandoval sees them inside and outside. She says they are the worst at night.

"You will hear them running through the walls or the ceiling and sometimes you will hear dog food and then I look down and my dogs are right next to me so I creep out of the room and I look around the corner and you'll see a fricken rat run from the dog food," said Sandoval.

Sandoval says she's caught 30 rats since January.

She says her landlords weren't doing enough about it so she started taking 'selfies' with the rats for proof.

"If I'm going to go to court, I want to have proof of all these rats that I've caught," she said. "It's a new one, it's a new one, it's a new one. I look different today it's not like I'm taking a picture of the same rat every day."

We brought Red Rock Pest Control with us to check out the problem.

They made sure her traps were appropriately placed and working well.

Red Rock Pest Control reminds us rats can fit through anything the size of a quarter and they can jump six feet.

The PR company for Sandoval's apartment complex told 13 Action News they would do everything they could to get rid of the rat infestation. They also said Sandoval can move to a new unit free of rats and free of charge.
