HENDERSON (KTNV) — West Henderson is one of the fastest growing parts of the valley with several major projects on the way.

City leaders are meeting today with representatives from companies like Google and Amazon to talk about the future of the area.

The group of industry leaders will meet on the site of the community's newest future development, which will be named Matter Park. The mixed-use business park will be located on 26 acres of land.

Matter Park's neighbors will include the Raiders headquarters and practice facility, an Amazon fulfillment center, and a Smith's distribution Center.

Although many people are excited about the growth, there are residents who are concerned.

"It brings life into the city and we're excited about the different developments that are coming along," said Don Clark.

"I'm concerned about all the development and the limited number of roads, even with the planning that we're going to have if you're not driving along st rose parkway you don't understand the problem," said Adrienne Miller.

The new development comes as city leaders plan for an increase in population. They expect the west Henderson population to grow by 30,000 people over the next ten years.
