A Henderson family is hoping President Donald Trump will see their viral video and be inspired to give.

Ben Gibson of Henderson has a lot of hobbies.

"I like to go to the park and ride my bike and go to Disneyland!" Ben said.

Now, the five-year-old can add "petitioning the president" to the list.

Ben is the star of a video that's gathered thousands of views on Facebook.

"President Trump! Cheer for us! We are the cherubs and these are my friends!" Ben chants in the video.

The "cherubs" he's referring to are kids born with a congenital diaphragmatic hernia. Cherubs is the non-profit organization that funds research and support for families.

Ben's mom, Jill Gibson, filmed the video in hopes President Trump will see it and choose to donate his salary to Cherubs.  The White House has said a different charity will receive a donation from President Trump's salary every quarter.

"How great would that be if a charity like ours that has no [federal] funding at all could get part of the President's salary?" Gibson said.

So far, the family has not heard any response from The Trump Administration.

At the very least, they hope the video will help raise awareness of a life-threatening defect that is not well-known.
