Eye Care 4 Kids provides professional eyecare to low-income, visually impaired children and underserved families.
The organization was founded in Utah in 2001 by Joseph Carbone, a Board-Certified Optician. Since that time, the organization has expanded to eight clinics covering Nevada, Arizona and New Jersey and has served nearly 250,000 individuals.
The organization provides vision screenings, comprehensive eye exams and corrective lenses at little to no charge to students in our community. In Southern Nevada, thousands of school-age children are not receiving vision care because they are uninsured or simply cannot afford professional eyecare.
Our partnership with the Clark County School District allows us to take the services directly to the schools to alleviate barriers such as transportation to and from appointments.
On April 27, they will provide vision screenings and exams to children on a first-come, first-serve basis. For a nominal fee, adults may take advantage of the services, which will include a screening, exam and a single-vision pair of eyeglasses.
