A new website lets you find restaurants owned by women.
Whether it's at the register or over the phone, a restaurant owner's work never stops.
"It's not as easy as it looks on the outside. It has a lot more to it than just providing good food," said Silviya Atanasova, the owner of Espression Cafe.
Now there's a way to find and support restaurants run by women. There's a website called RestaurantHER supported by Grubhub. Type in your zip code and a whole list of places pops up. It might help you pick out a lunch spot.
"I want to support women you know what I mean so that would definitely help me, my community," said Patricia Britton, a restaurant customer.
Some think seeing a woman in charge might make a big difference in workplaces across the country.
"Men will recognize that women are in positions of power, even with food. It makes a difference," said Britton.
Atanasova has seen harassment and abuse at her old jobs. She wants to make sure that never happens at Espression Cafe.
"If I can prevent anything like that, I try to," said Atanasova.
It's that commitment to her business that keeps people coming back.
