A ground stop is in place at McCarran Airport due to high winds in the Las Vegas valley around 6 p.m. Sunday.

Flights destined for New York City experienced delays averaging 1 hour and 14 minutes. Meanwhile, traffic heading to Los Angeles saw delays averaging 51 minutes, and about 1 hour and 15 minutes for everywhere else.

A ground stop means that flights bound for other airports will be held at their departure point until conditions improve.
