It is National HIV Testing Day and you can get tested for free at the Southern Nevada Health District on Decatur Boulevard near U.S. 95.
The health district is offering free HIV testing between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. June 27.
According to the Center for Disease Control, more than 1 million people in the United States have HIV.
Here in Nevada, 507 people were diagnosed with HIV in 2018. Of those that were diagnosed, 400 were men between the ages of 25 and 34.
