Gas prices in Las Vegas are back on the rise after briefly dropping below $2 per gallon.
Right now, the average price for a regular gallon will cost $2.45, which is up 2.1 cents from last week, according to GasBuddy.com. That's above the national average of $2.06.
While gas prices are up, the average is still 33 cents lower than a year ago.
Las Vegans are hoping prices don't spike too much.
"I run my own business so it takes an effect on what I pass along to my customers of course," said one driver.
Throughout the month of April, gas stations will be switching to a summer blend gasoline that is more expensive and will continue to increase the prices at the pump.
